The Snow series is inspired by the Norwegian landscape and the colors that have stayed with me throughout my life. The blues, whites, greys, and blacks reflect the shifting light, snow, mountains, and rock.

Each painting is built through repeated layers of heavy oil paint. I continuously add and remove paint, allowing the surface to develop slowly over time. The process is one of layering, stripping back, and layering again, revealing what remains while letting go of what is no longer needed.
